For the love of Porsche! This year marks Porsche’s 70 th anniversary. In 1948 the first road-certified Porsche was sold, designed by the son of Ferdinand Porsche. In honor of the beloved high-performance sports car manufacturer, this post is all about Porsche.
We really know and love Porsche’s here at Superior Detailer. I’ve worked on hundreds of them since I started detailing cars over 15 years ago. I’ve done them all! Today, my Porsche work is focused on paint protection and paint correction/restoration. This post showcases some of my latest work to include a Miami Blue Porsche Carrera, Irish Green Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS and a Porsche 991 with a full body Paint Protection Film (PPF) wrap. I also include some sick shots of the Porsche museum and factory in Stuttgart Germany from my visit there in 2015. I highly recommend any Porsche fan to visit the museum/factory in Stuttgart.
Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS – Modesta BC08
This new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS came in for our Signature New Car Protection detail. The stunning PTS “Irish green” paint is now well protected. We performed the following services:
What a fun Porsche to work on in this awesome color. And now that paint will stay protected with a combination of PPF on the high impact areas and a Modesta Glass Coating on all paint work.

Porsche on Porsche. I loved having this 991 alongside the 1986 red 911. Two red Porsche’s in the shop at the same time, from completely different eras!
This 991 got the full Superior Detailer treatment! The owner wanted the best protection for her Porsche which included Paint Protection Film on the entire vehicle and a Gtechniq ceramic coating on all film, wheels, and brake calipers. Per owners request, to complete this project we had the Porsche’s stock brakes painted in red and then ceramic coated all 4 wheels. Lastly, exterior trim coated with Modesta North America EPC plastic coating.
This Macan GTS was treated to the best! We corrected the paint and applied PPF to the front bumper. We coated the entire vehicle, including PPF and wheels, with Gtechniq ceramic coating.
And last but not least, here’s a white GT4 that received our Ultimate PPF and Coating Track Pack. This Porsche came to us with PPF on the front end, but the owner wanted more protection. We wrapped the doors, roof, rear wing, wrapping all edges for a seamless finish. We then coated the vehicle with Gtechniq ceramic coating.
Our latest Porsche install during the month of August – this rare Miami Blue Porsche came in for full front PPF. Can you see the film? I love this color!

There’s no question about my love for Porsche, so when Kim and I were planning our 2015 European bike trip, we added Stuttgart to visit the Porsche and Mercedes museums/factories. The Porsche museum is a sight to see. From rare production models to race cars, it has it all. We almost spent an entire day there. Below are just some of the photos I took while touring the museum. Enjoy!!
Happy Anniversary, Porsche. I love protecting these vehicles to maintain the integrity of the paint and interior of these fine automobiles. It was such an honor to have the opportunity to travel to Germany to learn more about the history of Porsche. It definitely has increased my love for the brand and I think it shows through my work. It’s always great to have these vehicles in our shop. Here’s to another 70 years!
