The GT3 RS is a True Testament to Porsche's Commitment to Excellence. This 2019 Lizard Green Porsche GT3 RS came to us under new ownership for a complete overhaul. We removed old track PPF and prepared it for track days with the New Owner. The Lizard Green color is a real showstopper and we are thrilled to have this in the SD family. Here's a list of what we did to the vehicle:
The paragraphs and photos below show our detailed process. We brought this vehicle back to new for the new owner and fully protected for track days.
The original PPF was dated and worn. It was time to replace it. We safely remove all PPF and factory decals. This allows us to fully polish all panels before new protection is installed.
Our correction and protection work always starts with a proper Preparation Wash and Detail. We remove the wheels on this particular vehicle to get to the stuck-on tar from previous track days.
We decontaminate and clay bar the surface as standard preparation processes.
We then touch up any minor paint chips using Dr. Color Chip paint chip repair kits. These are sold as DIY kits and are actually fairly easy to use. Interested in doing some touchup yourself? Shoot us a text and we're happy to help!
Steve then performs a Level 1 Paint Correction to remove water spots, swirls and marring from the paint. This step also prepares the paint for new PPF and coating applications. Preparation is KEY! You can see evidence of water spots and swirls in the third photo below.
We apply the appropriate amount of PPF for the vehicle and owner needs. For this 911, it includes PPF to the full hood, front fenders, headlights, front bumper, rocker panels, mirrors, rear splash area, a-pillars, and partial roof. This combination we refer to as our "Track Pack" coverage, designed specifically for track vehicles.
We use Premium SunTek Reaction Paint Protection Film for this job.
We remove the wheels during the installation process for easier custom fitments. You can see here in this first photo below how much space is cleared once the wheels are removed.
We install some pieces fully custom.
The Modesta coating is the "icing on the cake" and really finalizes the whole job in terms of protection and the way the paint work looks. Modesta BC-X currently sits on this paint work providing a high level of gloss and hydrophobicity. This coating is rated to last up to 6 years. We always believe in protecting the PPF. The Modesta coating will make it very easy to clean the vehicle and PPF after heavy track days, think about the rubber and tar that sits on the vehicle. A love bug can eat right through clear coat on a vehicle if not immediately removed. Those same love bugs will also stain and etch your PPF if not immediately removed. The coating can help prevent this by increasing the ease of maintenance.
The first Modesta wash is important and we always encourage clients to bring the vehicle back for the first wash. For this vehicle, the first wash was a post-track detail. The photos below show some of the rubber that we cleaned off the vehicle.
The end result is a vehicle that looks brand new and stays that way for the life of ownership.

As always, we appreciate you all taking the time to read about our favorite projects. Is there something else you'd love to see? Did you see a vehicle on IG or FB that you think would make for a great write-up? Shoot us an email and let us know. We'd love to hear from you.
And, until next time, clean cars drive better! -Kim and Karim

We are a team of professional detailers, internationally and locally trained. Working closely together, each of our individual strengths complement each other and create an exceptionally well-rounded team. We are Superior Detailer! Owner, Steven Fritz, started his detailing career in 2002 at a Central Florida car wash. In 2008 he founded Superior Detailer LLC as a high-end mobile detailing business. He has been perfecting the art of fine automobile detailing ever since. What started as a small mobile detailing business has turned into a family business in a state-of-the-art detailing studio in Downtown Orlando.
As the owner and founder, Steven invests his soul and passion for automobiles into every vehicle that he touches. He is an avid car enthusiast with over 19 years of high-end detailing experience, continuously educating himself on the latest products and techniques. He has trained at NXT, is XPEL factory trained, and a Modesta Verified Installer. Steven's passion for automobiles and detailing has taken him all over the world, even detailing in Europe and the Middle East. Steven is the creative mind behind all SD detailing processes and procedures. Steven is also an amateur photographer and takes nearly every photo that you see on this website and our social media platforms. In his spare time he enjoys photography, cycling, riding his motorcycle, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Kim, and their two animals.
Kim, Steve’s wife, joined the team part-time in 2013. Since then, her detailing skills have evolved to include paint protection film application, Modesta coatings, and polish work. When he's not at the SD studio, Gi is detailing or working on his Mustang. He enjoys car shows, weightlifting, and spending time with his wife and dog in Orlando, FL.
The environment in which we work has a huge affect on the quality of work produced. For us, this means having two separate climate-controlled spaces to accommodate for spikes in heat and humidity. It means separating our high-end detailing services to prevent contamination in film and coating applications. Our Downtown Orlando studio is 5,600 sq. ft. of air conditioned space with 2,500 sq. ft. dedicated to clean PPF and coating applications.
We have an indoor wash bay with warm and deionized water. We utilize Rupes machines, LED overhead lighting, and Scangrip/LED portable lighting. We have a 4-post lift, scissor lift, and QuickJacks portable car lifts. Our spaces are separately outfitted with right LED lighting for the specific work being performed. We have CCTV security cameras inside and out, with 24-hr armed on-property security monitoring.
Come see why we are Superior!
