Massive Overhaul Detail and
Windshield Film Replacement
Happy Fall, Y'all! I'm excited to share this month's "Detail of the Month" post, and it's a bit different from what we've done before. This time, we revisited a truck we fully protected last year.
The 2023 Ford Motor Company Raptor R is back in our shop for a massive overhaul detail and windshield film replacement! Last year, we applied a full-body PPF wrap, windshield film, and Modesta North America coatings. Since then, this beast has been through what looks like a sandstorm inside and out-the owner took it out west and really put it to the test!
We removed the wheels and gave the entire vehicle, including the suspension, a thorough cleaning. The weathered windshield film was replaced, and we refreshed the Modesta coating.
We were amazed when it came back to us, but we were confident that the level of protection we applied was perfect for everything the truck endured.
Here's a summary of what we did to the vehicle:
- Wheels-off Detail with full suspension clean
- Exterior Detail that included the annual Modesta Maintenance Service
- Windshield Film removal and installation
- Level 2 Interior Detail

Wheels were removed to fully detail the wheels, calipers, suspension and undercarriage. With miles and miles of caked-on dirt, this was a necessary step in our detailing process. The detail also includes the engine bay and entire interior of the truck.
The PPF-protected the paint work from scratches and staining during maintenance. While the windshield film did its job by protecting the glass from scratches and chips, it is not as durable and long-lasting as paint protection film. It won't withstand repeated abuse and will not self-heal like paint protection film. So, we replaced the windshield protection film with a fresh piece.
We always love having fully-wrapped vehicles back in our shop after several months (or years) have passed. PPF tends to look better with time if properly maintained. The heat and driving allows the film to "settle" and it's always a pleasure to see how improved the film looks over time. Here are some additional detailing shots:
