Unlock the Shine of Your 2004 Ferrari 360 Modena

We thought it would be fun to feature a Detail of the Month. So, for the last month of the year we are featuring one of our more recent favorite details. We hope you enjoy, and stay tuned for more monthly features!

This 360 came to us from a long-time client and friend who'd just recently purchased the vehicle with only 8k+ miles on the clock. The owner had a vision for the vehicle that included an interior refresh, Karim's signature Superior shine, and protection from chips and defects caused by road debris. Together we came up with a package that included the following:

• Wheels-off detail with suspension and engine bay clean
• Interior SwissVax detail with extensive steam cleaning and leather refresh
• Paint correction in multiple stages over ~10 days
• Paint chip repair on hood, front bumper, fenders, and rocker panels
• Paint Protection Film (PPF) application
• Modesta BC-08 Neosillica coating application to preserve the new finish

This detail spanned over 3 weeks and each team member had a major role. We all really enjoyed hands-on time with this beauty. The classic Ferrari in Rosso Corsa photographs so well and we hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed working on the vehicle.

BEFORE....

Our Restorative Detail process for this vehicle removes the heavy dirt that's been accumulating for years, as seen in the photos below. The photo on the right shows the surface scratches and marring from improper washing, and general wear and tear. These are completely removed during the multiple-stage paint correction.

THE DETAIL....

Prep and Cleaning

We perform the first wash indoors, with the vehicle off the ground and the wheels off.

We fully detail the suspension. See the before and after below.

Paint Correction and Touch-ups

We meter the paint to verify clear coat depth before we begin any correction work. Karim's methods and processes vary based on paint depth, type of paint work (specific to vehicle make or whether the vehicle was recently re-sprayed), and desired outcome.

We also performed extensive touch-ups to the major impact areas of the vehicle. We then wash the vehicle a second time to remove any remaining compound and prepare the vehicle for PPF application.

Paint Protection Film Application

We move the vehicle to our PPF/Coating bay and it sits on the scissor lift for the PPF and Modesta Coating processes. We removed the old film on the lower rocker/rear splash area and replaced it with a full rocker piece. The paint protection film protects the front end from any further chips or defects from road debris.

It's great to end the year with Racing Red! And we absolutely love this 360 Modena in Racing Red. This detail is a perfect example of how Karim wants to treat every vehicle that comes into the shop. Thank you to all of our clients who allow us the opportunity to do this.
