Detail and Protection Package

Here is a short description of the work:

--Full Wheels-off Preparation Detail

--Level 3 Paint Correction

--Full Front Paint Protection Film wrap with Xpel Ultimate Plus.

--Modesta BC-08 Neosillica Matrix Coating applied to all paint work

I discuss each step of the process below with photos. The transformation is Superior Detailer’s signature and one of the most rewarding parts of the work we do. We take great care and pride in each step of the process because each step complements the other. The first step, preparation, is key to any major project like this.

Wheels-Off Detail

The Superior Detailer standard for any major project is a thorough High-End Detail. This involves removing the wheels and performing a full exterior detail. We perform all of our detail work in our climate-controlled shop, including washes.

Here are some BEFORE photos of the wheels and suspension. Proper preparation is key to clean Paint Protection Film and Ceramic Coating installations.

AFTER the full suspension detail. As Karim always says, "Clean cars drive better", and that goes for the suspension too!

Paint Correction

Karim is our Senior paint correction and polish expert, performing correction work on exotics and sports cars for nearly 20 years. The photos below show the before and after work. They also show Karim working on the paint using Rupes tools and various compounds/polishes. 

Damage like this is magnified under our shop LED lights. See the photo below. This type of damage is common for a vehicle that has no protection and may have been washed through a standard machine car wash.

The photos below show Karim performing the paint correction. This particular job is a multiple-stage correction. That means that Karim performed several passes of the entire vehicle to fully remove all scratches and defects. This process takes several days for various reasons. In some cases it can take up to a week done properly.

Move the slider to see the full image of each. Also included in our Paint Correction service is small paint chip repair. We source the factory-color paint and fix chips for a clean look before paint protection film installation.

Paint Protection Film Application

Karim and I installed full custom hood, fenders, mirrors, and rear splash pieces. Full "custom" means we did not use pre-cut kits for these installs. We prefer this method when possible because it ensures a custom fit with maximum coverage and best visual appearance.

The photo below shows the paint protection film (PPF) custom hood piece that we installed.

The Aston Martin Vantage hood is taller than average, so we used a 72" wide piece of Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF.

We almost always install custom mirror pieces for a seamless PPF installation, and this Vantage was no exception to that.

Why do vehicle owners choose PPF installation? The PPF is meant to prevent damage to the highest impact areas of the vehicle. This damage can include rock chips, tar and bug stains, oxidation, etc. PPF has many benefits and we almost always recommend it for any daily driver that will see any Central Florida highway.

Modesta Coating | Ceramic Coating Installation

We chose Modesta BC-08 Neosillica Matrix Coating for this Vantage. Modesta BC-08 is a great coating for daily driven vehicles. Traces of zirconium create great shine and luster on the paint while it's three dimensional matrix ensures excellent water repellency and self cleaning. The coating's thick layer acts as a self scarifying barrier to protect the finish of the vehicle from scratches and marring as well as adverse environmental effects.

For a daily driven vehicle that has just undergone our Level 3 Paint Correction, Modesta coating installation is a must to protect the new finish.

Superior Detailer has been installing Modesta coatings exclusively since 2016. We believe that Modesta offers the strongest, most durable and visually appealing coatings on the market today. That is why we choose this exclusive brand of Glass Coatings.

The first photo below shows the Modest coating installed. Can you notice the difference in gloss already?

Karim, Kim, and Gui are all trained to install Modesta coatings. Karim installed the coating on this vehicle. The coating is applied to all paint work and paint protection film.

After the coating is hand-applied section by section, we then cure the coating with IR Lamps. This process can take 2-4 hours depending on the size of the vehicle. The photos below show the cure process.

Finished Detail and Final Shots

The photos below show the coating fully cured.

Fenders are wrapped in PPF. Emblems are taped back on to the vehicle.

Done and ready to release to a very happy customer.

When the customer is presented with a newly wrapped and coated vehicle, we also provide clear maintenance instructions. Coating maintenance is so important, especially when the coating is new. We pride ourselves on maintenance education for our clients so that each client receives the best performance out of their Modesta coating.

This 2019 Aston Martin Vantage was in the Superior Detailer studio for nearly 3 weeks. We never rush our Paint Correction, Paint Protection Film, or Modesta Coating work. And the vehicle is #ReadyWhenReady. We prefer to hold the vehicle in our studio for a minimum of 24 hours after the coating is installed.
